A rich, structured day designed to nurture every aspect of your child's development.
A Typical Preschool Day
Welcome
ArrivalBefore entering the classroom, students hang up their belongings and put on their indoor shoes. They are greeted by a teacher and move to the circle area where they can play for around 10 minutes to settle down.
Circle Time
MorningCalendar activities, songs, games, and stories help children develop number skills and social interactions.
Show and Tell
MorningChildren are encouraged to talk about something they bring from home — usually a toy or book. A fun way to develop confidence and language.
Activity Time
MorningThis time is used to help children enhance fine motor skills like pencil grasp, colouring with crayons, tracing letters and numbers, etc.
Learning Centres
MorningA working time with different Montessori-oriented activities around the classroom. We also provide a workbook so children can practise their readiness skills.
Snack Time
Mid-morningPlease provide your child only with a healthy snack.
Free Play Time
Mid-morningChildren can circulate among the play centres we set up for them.
Art
Late morningWe do a craft every day about the theme of the day.
Spanish Class
Late morningEvery day we provide a full Spanish Immersion Class so children learn the Spanish basics.
Story Time
Before dismissalBefore dismissal, we have story time. It is usually done in Spanish so children are more involved in the language.
Dismissal
DismissalTime to go home after having a great time at preschool.
Lunch
AfternoonChildren who stay all day have lunch from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Rest Time
AfternoonA rest period in the afternoon for those children in the toddler program or any other child who needs to rest.
Yoga / Music and Movement
AfternoonWe do yoga or music and movement on days where the weather is not an option for spending longer periods outside.
Monthly Field Trips & Special Guests
In addition to class activities, we provide our children with either a field trip or special guest each month to enhance our curriculum. These are included in our fees.
